The featured ad section contains six spaces at the top of every category page. If there are more than six featured ads present in any given category, our system will randomly display six of the ads each time that category page is loaded. This method benefits our advertisers by ensuring that their ad does not get lost in an abundance of featured ads, and provides readers with a better user experience.
Additionally, unlike our Top Ads, all featured ads are displayed with the same frequency- while the Top Ads are moved down the list as new Top Ads are placed.
